There are many recovery resources in Philly these are just a few - these are the meetings and gatherings and classes that I go to on a regular basis. I have often been asked which recovery books I’ve read and podcasts I listen too - those are listed here too. Please email me your favorites if you think I have missed them - always looking to add tools to my tool box.
Have you heard of a “home meeting”? I think it means the recovery meeting you most often go to. If that is what it means - the SMART meeting at Studio 34 on Sundays is my home meeting. This meeting is so important to me that I schedule my weekends around it!
SMART stands for Self-Management And Recovery Training - SMART is an alternative or supplement to traditional twelve step programs like AA.
I am also a trained facilitator - so look for SMART inspired events …… TBD

I have been attending this Wednesday evening group since it was introduced by Desiree Fiorentino in early 2019. I am honorred to keep it going as she is out of town.
Filling the Void:Sobriety & Spirituality is a community group focused on the connection between sobriety and spirituality. Meeting twice a month, FV:SS will include discussion and meditation.
FV:SS wastes no time diving in so it is asked of the attendees to commune with an open heart. Participation is not required but honesty and humor are necessary. Pen, paper and friends encouraged.
It was in Yoga for recovery that I first opened up about my personal need for Sober Community and first learned to “share” in the twelve step tradition.
Altho this class in not affiliated, endorsed or endorsing of AA, each class is opened with a reading and it will often be a book from an AA library.
